The Male Lines
Series
Four series, one question: what does the body do to the person looking?
05
DARE
He holds your gaze.
The body stands facing you and gives nothing away. No setting, no way out: frontality is the very material of this series. What is at stake is not display but the balance of power — the one who shows keeps the initiative, the one who looks has to decide where he stands.

03
HOLD
He holds back.
The fabric barely slips, the hand stays where it is, nothing has happened yet. These works hold the moment just before — the one where the gesture could still stop. The tension comes not from what is shown but from what is suspended.

05
UNGUARDED
He is no longer on guard.
Sleep, waiting, afterwards. The body has stopped composing itself and becomes reachable at the very moment it is most out of reach. This is the gentlest series in the catalogue, and the most indiscreet: nobody here is posing.

04
HEAVY
He carries weight.
Mass as subject. These bodies occupy space through sheer volume, and the line never tries to slim them down: it follows their density. The Tri Torse triptych is the heart of it — three colours, three bodies, no hierarchy between them.
